Wife, sister, daughter, friend, and beloved auntie, Lisa was a bright light to all she met. Diagnosed in 2011 with ovarian cancer, when she was just 29 years old, Lisa's dedication to supporting NOCC's mission began. Her strength and selflessness was demonstrated daily, to have faced such personal challenges, and harness that energy into helping others.

In her words, she was relentless at soliciting donations to raise awareness and find a cure for this disease. The New England region of National Ovarian Cancer Coalition would truly not be where it is today without Lisa's volunteerism and advocacy. As a top team captain for the last 12 years, and lead volunteer, she was a fierce advocate. She was a mentor to fellow team captains, always raising the bar, attended countless awareness opportunities to spread the word about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and even shared her story publicly, though it was outside her comfort zone. She wanted to help however and whenever she could. Last year, Team 50 Shades of Teal's total giving exceeded $100,000 in support of NOCC and finding a cure, an accomplishment that Lisa was exceedingly proud of.

Anyone who was lucky to know Lisa, knew that she was dedicated to her family, friends, and to finding a cure for this disease, and we thank you for continuing Lisa's fight. Join us in supporting the lasting legacy that Lisa has made on the teal community. Forever and always in our hearts.
